Wednesday Stamper challenge -- "repeating pattern"

I was playing around with repeating patterns after seeing my Aunt Debbie's blog with the fun cupcake card. It just so happens that Wednesday Stamper has a "pattern" challenge this week. This cute snowflake is actually made up of tiny kitties. Their collars are embellished with silver embossing powder.

Sunflower Studios challenge

Here's my submission for the Sunflower Studios challenge. I really like this sketch. I'm on the fence about putting a sentiment on this card. I feel like it looks pretty neat like this...is it missing something though?

Cute Card Thursday challenge -- "lots of sparkle"

Cute Card Thursday has a "lots of sparkle" challenge. Here's one of my new Christmas cards. You really have to enlarge the picture to see the detail. The shells are done in crackle glass, the fish, starfish and crabs in stickles, and the bubbles in liquid glass. I call this card...Merry Fishmas. haha

Daring Cardmakers -- "king or queen for a day"

Here's my submission for the challenge at Daring Cardmakers. I absolutely love this set from Stampin' Up. The paper is from Close to My Heart. Everything is embellished with gold embossing powder.

Scrap Everything challenge

Scrap Everything has a fun sketch this week. When I saw it, I knew I wanted to make scuba cards. Now, for all you hardcore divers...I know they were snorkeling in the picture but it's close enough! haha

Stamp Something challenge -- "stamp something"

Here's the card I made for Danielle's birthday. The papers are Basic Grey and the stamp is from an acrylic set I found at AC Moore. This fits the challenge at Stamp Something...it's "stamp something". The challenge is to use a brand new stamp.... and here it is!

Lots to Do challenge -- "red and white"

The challenge at Lots to Do this week is "red and white". What's more red and white than candy canes? I didn't have a candy cane stamp so I just drew them myself. They are all embellished with stickles but you can't really see it in the picture. I'm still not sure if I want to add some embellishments or not. What do you think?

Cupcake Craft challenge -- "sketch"

This week the Cupcake Craft blog has a sketch for their challenge. I took the sketch and rotated it. I also added a little bit to it. It's kind of an unconventional Christmas card.

Look at what my mommy made!

Check out the card my mom made! There isn't any layering or anything...just the House Mouse stamp and chalking. The scan totally doesn't do the card justice though. My mommy is talented.

CPS challenge

Here's my submission for the CPS sketch this week. Just for the record, I know my shapes. I took some "creative liberties" with the design. haha

The snowman stamp (of a stamp) is embellished with crackle glass. You can't see it too well unless you click to enlarge the picture. Some of the snowflakes on the background paper have it as well. The snowman is from Close to My Heart.

Cupcake Craft challenge

I found the Cupcake Challenge blog while wandering around online recently. I was really proud of this card and then I realized I missed the deadline for the challenge. Ugh.

Even though it's late... here it is. The sleigh was stamped with a glittery black dewdrop stamp pad. It's old-school CTMH. He is colored with la plume pens. His outfit accents are done in liquid applique and his beard and eyebrows are flocking. He's also got gold stickles on the sleigh. (Can't miss out on stickle opportunities)

Cute Card Thursday challenge -- "food" and Poetic Artistry sketch

I did a combination of two challenges for this card. First, Cute Card Thursday's theme this week is "food". I'm totally hooked on the cupcake stamps so I just had to come up with something from my new set. All the paper is from Close to My Heart. It was a theme pack called "Whoops a Daisy".

Second, Poetic Artistry posted a fun sketch this week. If you ever get interested in doing sketch challenges, I totally suggest trying the Poetic Artistry blog. The sketches are always totally beautiful.

Rainbow Lady challenge -- "sketch"

This week Rainbow Lady has a sketch challenge.

I totally love this card! So much that I am tempted to just keep it. For what? No reason...just a lot of blood, sweat and glitter put into this card. I've had this candy house stamp for years (from Close to My Heart). I've used it a bunch of times but never in such a way that it took a few days to finish the card.

The house was stamped and then outlined in la plume marker. Then I colored it all in with prismas. The "icing" is white puffy paint. The house is embellished in stickles. Then I added liquid glass to the windows to make them look shiny. It's hard to tell from the scanned picture but the little metal jewel in the top right corner says "sweet" on it.

ABC challenge -- "individual"

Here is my submission for the ABC challenge, "individual". I've had this mermaid stamp for years and I totally love it. I rarely use it but I thought she would be great for the challenge. Her bubbles are topped with liquid glass and her tail has some added stickles. I was playing around with the ribbon on this one. I like the effect :)

This challenge is actually a design team call as well. That means they will pick someone they really like and that person gets to be on the design team. How much fun would that be???

Saturday Sketch challenge

Here's my submission for the Saturday Sketch this week. I pretty much followed the design but changed the smallest square.

Self-therapy maybe?

Okay. So today was a rough day for a whole bunch of reasons. Only a few of those reasons are considered "big" things... but the combination just kicked me around today. So here's my self-therapy session. Here's some of the stuff (and people) I'm thankful for...

Kimmy... she's like my personal doctor half the time. I call her with the most random questions. And she never complains...well, not that I hear about. Come to think of it, why would she complain ABOUT me TO me? Whatever...you get the idea.

Mommy... does it make me a huge dork to hang out with my mom all the time? Yeah, probably. Oh well.

Artistic talent... I have some decent skills. Here's a picture of the mural I'm definitely not painting. It's just somehow showing up bit by bit.

Cory... he is awesome (but don't tell him that... I'd hate for him to have a big ego!) We always hang out and have fun. And he helps me out whenever I need it.

Sushi... this cat drives me completely insane and sometimes I find myself getting so freakin' frustrated with him! But despite me telling him to go away sometimes, he's excited to see me and always wants to be near me.
Friends from college... I think that joining Tau Beta Sigma was one of the best choices I made in college. Most of my best friends have come from my ties to the organization.

Hanging out with my sister... we didn't always get along but we have been hanging out a lot more and having a blast (but don't tell her that either haha)!

A bit more Halloween...

I've just been in the Halloween mood lately... here's some of my latest creations.

Spoon Full of Sugar challenge -- "Christmas"

Christmas already??!! I guess Christmas is on its way whether we get ready or not. Here's my first holiday card of the year. What do you think? Check out the other fun Christmas cards at the Spoon Full of Sugar blog.

Arty Girlz challenge -- "birthday"

Am I the only one in the world who is totally in love with cupcake stamps? I just got a whole new set at AC Moore (40% off of course!) and I've been doing a lot of projects with them. This card was made with the Arty Girlz' birthday challenge in mind.

SBS Challenge -- "thank yous" and Papertake Sketch

I usually do individual challenges but these two went together really well. I guess my design only "kinda" looks like the sketch. I started with an idea a lot more similar and it morphed into something else. Check out all the other fun cards at SBS and the sketches at Papertake!

Stamp Something challenge -- "cherry inspiration"

The Stamp Something blog has a cherry inspiration challenge this week. I didn't have a cherry stamp so I just drew it myself. It came out pretty nice if I do say so myself!

CPS challenge -- "sketch #82"

I have to say that doing the CPS challenges is a blast. I love having a rough sketch to look at and then create something from. I just got a cupcake set at AC Moore and this is the first creation from the set.

Cute Card Thursday challenge -- "cats and dogs"

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday is "cats and dogs". I just got this Fluffles the cat stamp last week and this is the first card I've made with it. I used some fun iridescent glitter on the frog and the cauldron is done in black embossing.

SBS 18 challenge -- "quotes"

Here is my submission for the SBS 18 challenge, "quotes". This quote was another new stamp I got in the mail today. The image is House Mouse of course...I colored it with Prismas (my Auntie Debbie will be proud!)

Wednesday Stamper challenge -- "caps"

The Wednesday Stamper challenge this week is "caps". I just got this hat stamp today and had a blast playing with it. The hat on the right is done with black flocking and the rest of the hats have gold embossing powder and green flocking. I totally love this card!

This card also goes along with the A Spoonful of Sugar challenge this week which is a great little sketch. I deviated from it a bit....

CPS challenge -- "sketch"

Here's my interpretation of the CPS sketch this week. I was in the Halloween mood!

Thank God It's Friday challenge -- "open theme"

Check out my new stamp! I am totally loving it! At Thank God It's Friday, there is an open theme. My favorite part is the liquid applique on the whipped cream topping. (click the card to enlarge it so you can see how awesome it looks)

Daring Cardmakers challenge -- "sketch"

Daring Cardmakers has a nice sketch to work with this week. I think my card morphed from the sketch into something else a bit, but the original idea looked similar to the sketch! I thought it would be fun to make an un-birthday card to send to someone. (I love Alice in Wonderland). I didn't have any stamps that I felt went with the idea enough so I just drew the picture myself. What do you think?
