Here is my submission for the Daring Cardmaker's "miss you" challenge as well as the sketch challenge over at CPS. This is my first card in over a month! We switched my bedroom and the craft room so both have been in shambles!
Found this challenge online... it's from No Time to Stamp? . The challenge is to use an old stamp. I think we've had this House Mouse stamp in the basement for quite some time!
While blog surfing today I found the Sunflower Studio page. There was a sketch challenge. I thought I'd try it out. The scanner made the card look super bright but hopefully you get the idea! All the water on the card is covered in liquid glass so it has an actual "watery" feel to it.
The challenge this week at Cute Card Thursday is to create a card with the theme "the two of us". I absolutely LOVE House Mouse stamps and I knew we had a few different ones I've never used before. (Just as an aside... I always order my House Mouse stamps through Dick at http://hmstamps.com because he is fabulous and has the best prices around).
One thing that makes this card unique is the fact that the gray mouse is pop-dotted (raised) to give the card dimension. When I scanned, I didn't get the full effect so I took a digital picture to try and show the dimension better.
I used Prismacolor pencils to color in the stamp and all of the paper is from Close to My Heart. The image was stamped in Staz-on black ink. I love the way the image comes out with that ink and it smells good (yeah, I'm weird).
I'm a 27-year old Special Education teacher. I love to create things both in and outside the classroom.
I have two cats (Sushi and Wookie), three geckos (ChaCha, McLovin and Caber) and seven fire-bellied toads.
