Here's my submission for the Cute Card Thursday challenge, "stars at night". I got this stamp for $4 at the Memory Lane yard sale. Fun! I put crackle glass on the happy birthday part of the stamp. There are plenty of stickles all over the card too.
Here's my submission for the Dutch Dare sketch challenge this week. The scanner was being difficult so I just took a picture. The little sentiment at the bottom says "gobble".
Here's my first use of my little caroling girl stamp that I got at the yard sale this morning. She is colored with Le Plumes and I put white flocking on the furry parts of her coat. I usually stick with the sketches fairly well...this one morphed a bit. Wanna check out the rest of the submissions? Check out the Papertake blog!
Here is my Theme Thursday submission for the "think pink" challenge. I used a metallic dewdrop stamp pad for the images (all from CTMH). I used second generation stamping with first generation over it and slightly to the right. I was going for a shadow effect. Did it work?
This card follows two challenge guidelines. The first is the "turn up the heat" challenge at Cupcake Craft. I used liquid applique sprinkled with iridescent glitter for the snow. The stamp set I used is a new one from Close To My Heart. The second challenge is from the Rainbow Lady blog. Her challenge is to use ribbon. Fun stuff!
Here's my semi-submission for the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge of the week. You're probably saying to yourself "hey, that's not a card!" This is a great observation...I really just colored a stamped House Mouse image. That's as far as I got but I thought I would post it now because the cramps in my left hand say that I deserve to show it off. Making the water look like it's nighttime really kicked the heck outta my hand!
Here's my submission for two challenges: Wednesday Stamper "brown combo" and SBS18 challenge "autumn". This is a 6x6" card that opens on the left-hand side (the right side is glued down...hard to tell in the picture). I made my own background design with an old stamp set I actually never really liked until this card! I used gold embossing on some of the acorns to make them pop out a bit. The pumpkin on the autumn stamp has liquid glass.
The challenges at Papertake Weekly and Lots to Do this week are to make something with "no stamps". I totally love Halloween so I went with that theme. I drew the pumpkin, fence and grass. They are all colored with La Plume markers. The background was just a random idea. I took a black sheet of cardstock (from Close to my Heart...LOVE their paper). I used a sponge roller with embossing ink and then sprinkled silver embossing powder and a bit of iridescent glitter and heated it up. There's the result!
Here's my submission for the challenge at Arty Girlz this week. I didn't feel like scanning the cards today so I just took pictures. It's tough to tell from the picture but the cupcake frosting is all done in liquid applique that is sprinkled with iridescent glitter. The cherry is covered in liquid glass.
Oh darn! I'm late for the Created By Hand challenge! The challenge this week was to create a card that is coffin-shaped. It's hard to tell from the picture, but I made a pop-up card. When you open it the little mummy pops up and it says Happy Halloween.
When I saw the Cute Card Thursday challenge I knew I had the perfect stamp! It's House Mouse and totally adorable. I colored the stamp with Le Plume markers and then put some liquid glass over the lights. Fun stuff!
